The Life includes more standard goodies than you'd expected from a minicar. A reflection, perhaps, of the collapsing car market globally and the necessity for incentives to drive sales. It is the first minicar in Japan to offer an audio system and a backup camera as standard equipment. It also includes Honda's Advanced Smart Parking Assist System -- a fancy wording for steering assistance.


The Life, Honda says, was developed with the concept of "daily smile technology". Which means that Honda understands the most essential element needed for any minicar to succeed -- and that's the cute factor.


It will also offer something called a Special Mobility Assistive version, which appears to simply be electric-adjustable seating. But such luxuries are always welcomed in minicars.


Propulsion power will come from a 660 cc, 3-cylinder i-DSI engine, for both a front-wheel and a 4-wheel drive version, but the excitement likely comes from inside the cabin.


Starting price will be 1,410,000 Yen for the base version (14,387 US dollars) or 1,540,000 (15,714 US) for the 4-wheel drive version.More Photos

Below, you can see exclusive US-specs Soul pictures. In addition, I have enclosed a Canadian Soul accessory brochure, that first appeared at Canadian National Kia dealer meeting a few months ago. As you know, Soul crossover will be available with a range of exterior customizations. Many of them you can see here and possibly several others will not only reach Canadian, but US market as well.


Engineered to accommodate an array of diesel and gasoline engines, the US-spec Soul model will only be available with a potent 2,0L in-line four engine. Developing 142 horsepower, the engine should provide plenty of punch, while still delivering a respectable gas mileage. When going on sale in US, the Soul will be available with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmissions.


Here we have the first official images of the 2010 US-spec Kia Soul model. The Soul urban crossover will make it’s official US premiere at the upcoming Los Angeles Auto Show.


Out of 136,000 Souls that Kia intends to produce annually at it’s Gwangju manufacturing facility in South Korea, 50,000 units will be shipped to the North American market. The Soul is expected to reach US market early next year with sales commencing in April 2009.

The Toyota and Lexus modifying veterans at Five Axis have put together a seriously hot-rodded Lexus GS 460 for the SEMA show. Following up last year’s IS F concept, the Troy Sumitomo-designed super sedan was revealed on Tuesday.


As the teaser illustrations hinted, the Five Axis GS 460 features a widebody kit housing massive 20-inch offset wheels, 8.5 inches up front and 10.5 at the rear. Custom-formatted PPG paint contrasts with the blackout wheel trim.


That striking bodywork is wrapped around a lowered and stiffened suspension, and Five Axis has added a big-brake kit and custom fabricated exhaust as well.


The GS 460 shares display floor space with last year’s IS F concept, which has returned with more power, as well as a range of F-branded Lexus modification products.

Marking the 10th anniversary from the introduction of the first generation ML 55 AMG, Mercedes-Benz has revealed a pair of special edition ML 63 AMGs named "10th Anniversary" and "Performance Studio". While both models retain the factory 6.3-liter V8 engine that produces a hefty 510HP shooting them from naught to 100km/h (62mph) in just 5.0 seconds and on to an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h (155mph), Mercedes-Benz's AMG division has garnished them with distinctive bodywork details and an array of accessories.

The ML 63 AMG "10th Anniversary" which pays a direct tribute to Merc's first-ever high-performance SUV, the 347HP ML 55 AMG that was launched in 1999, features new engine bonnet design with power domes, radiator grille and Himalaya grey underseal for the front and rear end along with a set of 21-inch high-sheen light alloy wheels and shaded Bi-Xenon headlights with active curve illumination.

The second special edition version of the ML 63 AMG was developed by Merc's in-house "AMG PERFORMANCE STUDIO" division that caters the wishes of individual customers. On the outside, the ML 63 AMG "Performance Studio" sports a metallic "Peridot brown" paintwork combined with 21" AMG high-sheen light alloy wheels painted in the same color as the car and a high-gloss trim strip on the belt line .

Moving into the interior, the anniversary model boasts a two-tone nappa leather upholstery on the AMG sports seats and AMG sports steering wheel in black / Alpaca green or black / light brown, while the upper part of the dashboard clad is in black designo leather. The black roof lining and the charcoal wood trim complete the changes.

The full nappa leather upholstery with a diamond pattern in a porcelain shade with black cording, together with the leather-wrapped dashboard, centre console and door trim in black and porcelain, the charcoal alcantara roof lining and wood trim finished in high-gloss black piano lacquer sum up the interior upgrades.via:carscoop

The Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano is one of the few exotics rarely touched by aftermarket tuners but that hasn’t stopped Britain’s Project Kahn from releasing a new performance upgrade for it. Not wanting to alter the dramatic styling of the 599 significantly, developers have kept exterior mods to a minimum with only a mild styling kit and Kahn Design F1-X Carbon wheels making the cut – 20in up front and 21in in the rear.


Under the bonnet lies the standard 6.0L V12 engine with 612hp (456kW) and 448lb-ft (608Nm) of torque. Some minor modifications that are available for the car include a lowered sports suspension kit and high-flow sports exhaust.

The new Audi coupe starts with the JMS Racelook body kit which includes a front bumper lip spoiler (Euro 269) which sits only 3cm closer to the ground, side skirts (299 Euro) and rear apron (Euro 259) with diffuser look that is a perfect fit with the standard bumper fascia.


For the chassis JMS has added H&R lowering springs (EUR 239) which drop the front end by 40mm and the rear by 35mm. The springs are compatible with the standard Audi shock absorbers.


For the S5 look JMS has also created a stainless steel exhaust system with 4 oval tips which JMS says provides a little more horsepower and torque. JMS is planning to make available the same Racelook kit for all S5 and S-line models.


German tuning firm JMS has taken a more discreet approach with their Audi A5 tuning kit compared to their recent Audi A3 Sportback.


In the footwear department JMS has fitted 3-piece racing wheels 9.5x20 and 10x20 with 255/30R20 Dunlop tires (Euro 5699).
