Audi A4 and A5 get S Tronic transmission

Audi announced today that the UK market versions of the Audi A4 Saloon and Avant and the Audi A5 get the S Tronic transmission from the new S4 model. The twin-clutch S Tronic transmission was first offered for the Audi Q5 and the S4 Saloon and Avant. This gearbox offers rapid gear changes with no interruption to the power flow and at the same time maintains the fuel economy of a manual.
The Audi A4 2.0 TFSI quattro S tronic has a top speed of 150mph and a 0 to 62 mph acceleration time of 6.5 seconds. The Audi A5 with the same specifications manages a 0-62 mph time of 6.2 seconds.
